Romans 12:21 – “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Have you ever had to like someone who treated you wrongly? Worse, have you ever loved someone who did not love you back? Unfortunately, I have been in both situations. So what to do? Do you treat them wrongly? Do you love them less? No, you overcome those evil desires with good desires. You love them anyway.
You know by loving those who do you harm brings a peace to your soul. And who knows, by loving them, you may be the only Jesus that person may see. Get the picture?
Help me Lord to love those who hate me, those who treat me wrongly and especially those who break my heart…In the name of Jesus, I do pray, Amen.
Let us thank GOD for Moms. Don’t forget to say “Happy Mother’s Day” to your Mom today. Tell her how much you appreciate her for all they do. Mom’s are special. Let us not forget them on this, their day. If you are fortunate to have your mother, call her, thank her & tell her how much you love her for all the sacrifices she has done for you.
A mom is special
this I can truly say.
She is there each and every day;
cooking, cleaning,& driving
here and there.
She has a heart that really cares.
So tell her you love her
for all she has done.
Mom…you are # one.
Happy Mother’s Day. I miss you Mom……your son Rocco.
It took a couple of readings and then the words “not yet” kind of jumped out. How many times do we hear “not yet”. Heal me – “not yet”. Prosper me – “not yet”. Give me a job – “not yet”. You see, Jesus has to work in your lives, in your circumstances before it is time for HIM to “do”. We need to have patience and wait on Jesus.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to understand that you have a plan. And when trials come and we hear “not yet”, this is when we need to put our faith and trust in YOU. Amen.
2 Corinthians2:11 – A further reason for forgiveness is to keep from being outsmarted by Satan, for we know what he is trying to do.
Forgiveness – tough to do at times, but that is exactly what Christ asks us to do. Forgive as HE has forgiven you. How do you do this.
By staying in the word & praying every day, forgiveness becomes easier.
Prayer: Help me Lord to forgive those who have hurt me. To forgive those who I feel are not doing the right thing. To forgive as you have forgiven…Amen.
Hebrews 10:9 “Here I am. I have come to give my Life”. Christ came to give up HIS life for us. Through HIS mercy and grace, we are saved. The words “Here I am” seemed to jump out at me. I feel we need to say this as well – Jesus, “here I am”. “Here I am” for you to use me as you will, to be your disciple, to carry your word out into the world.
Prayer: Help me Lord Jesus to be there for you more often than I am. Amen.
Habakkuk #:1-19 Verse 18 – “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will be happy in the God of my salvation.”
In all things be therewith content. Even if things don’t go your way & trials come, always give thanks & praise to the Lord & Savior – Jesus Christ.
Look at your cup as 1/2 full instead of 1/2 empty. In life, there is always good. It is not all bad even thought it sometimes feels that way. Rejoice!
Prayer: Help me Oh Lord to rejoice no matter what the circumstances; and to remember to give you thanks for all we have, good or bad…Amen.
Matt. 22.1-4, v13 NIV) Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Those who are not clothed in the robe of righteousness will be thrown outside into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. There are many descriptions of hell. I think it will just be the absence of God. There will be no light. It is ‘The Word’ which we can read, see, hear, and inwardly digest that gives us hope, joy and peace. Hell is No God. When you’re in a bad place with worry and concern, there is darkness. Well, it can just make you crazy. That’s why some say hell is here on earth. Well, it is–it’s a choice. Choose life. Choose Jesus. Choose health. Choose the mind of Christ. Receive love, joy, peace, and happiness. Gal.5.22-24 the fruits of the spirit. Gal. 5.22-24 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Choose Jesus, put on His robe of righteousness. Come to the wedding feast. Spend eternity with Jesus. Why not? Can you do better? Put your faith and trust in Him.
Prayer: Jesus I’m so glad to trust in Jesus. You are Almighty, All Powerful. You are everything to me. I praise you Jesus. I’d rather be with you, than to trust myself, or others to care for me. Your Word does not return void:
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Amen Amen So be it. Hallelujah Jesus Saves.
Matthew 13.44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.”
The kingdom of God is not free or cheap. Jesus gave us eternal life by being the Supreme, Sacrificial, pure, unblemished, Lamb of God. Our God in His love, grace, and mercy has provided everything, so we can be with Him in heaven eternally. Yes it is a free gift of God. We can do nothing to receive it. All we need to do is find it and open our heart to Jesus. Even that, we cannot do on our own. The Holy Spirit is in us prompting us what to do. As we search in our ignorance what is going on within us, we realize we’ve found a treasure in the field. We continue to hide it and in our joy we sell all of our possessions and give it to the kingdom of God. What does God do for you? It depends on your generosity. Are you like Annanias and Sapphira? Or are you like Job? Annanias and Sapphira lied and died. Job received double for everything he lost. What are you willing to give up for eternal life? The more generous you are the more you will receive. Freely you have been given, freely give. (Matt. 10.8) Be careful and wise. Do not sow into bad ground. Be sure you are led by The Holy Spirit of God with what to do. (2Cor. 9:6 Gal. 6:7 &
Prayer: Jesus lead me, guide, me, direct me, show me Your will. I am fully persuaded and desire to know and do Your will. Plan A! I pray for Your help, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen and amen
JOHN 14.1-14 V14 NIV) You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Jesus bless me. Of course He will bless you. You are blessed every day. We have food to eat, air to breathe, clothing, family, friends, etc. more than we wish to make time to name. God cannot be mocked! He is not a magic genie. You cannot push a button on Him and win the lottery. Although, some have won, so that’s not impossible to accomplish, even without Jesus. Jesus and the Father are one; also The Holy Spirit. When we ask in Jesus’ name, it is only according to who and what Jesus is. How do you know how to pray: Read the Word. Do not corrupt or manipulate it. It is the incorruptible Word of The Living God, The Seed of The Everlasting God, God Almighty Himself. When you read or speak the Word it is God.
Prayer: Jesus bless me to understand You. Bless me to know You fully. Enlighten my heart and mind; lift the veil to understand You more fully, to be so joined to You I will walk wet in Your Almighty Presence in this dark and dying world. Bless me to know and do Thy will. When I am weak you are made strong. I cling to You. Amen.
Today is the beginning of Lent. A time to reflect, to look back and to look forward. Many people I talk to
are giving up things for lent. No bread, no alcohol, no sweets, etc. Think about this – instead of giving up something, why not do something you have not done. Some suggestions: read the Bible every morning and pray. How about a journal of your reading. Pick a verse and write down how if affects you. Perhaps give a little more to your church or donate to a cause that is dear to your heart. I’m sure you can think of other ideas. But the point is, instead of giving up something, why not try to just give. God Bless you on your journey through this Lenten season.
